   <subfield code="a">This thesis examines how discounts influence consumer decision-making in e-commerce, focusing on the Czech Republic and Central Europe from 2020 to 2025. It explores the effects of various discount strategies, including percentage reductions, free shipping, and time-limited offers, on purchasing behavior, impulse buying, and customer loyalty. Grounded in behavioral economics theories such as Prospect Theory and loss aversion, this study analyses data collected through a public survey conducted by the author, focusing on consumer responses to discount strategies in e-commerce. Descriptive statistical analysis was applied to identify how different discount formats influence consumer decision-making, purchasing impulses, and attitudes toward promotional trust. The findings show that discounts are not only seen as tools for saving money but also as drivers of impulse behavior and overall shopping satisfaction, particularly among younger and price-sensitive consumers.</subfield>
